TRACING

Tracing is an essential skill for many artists from beginner to professional. Whether you use simple tracing paper, graphite transfer paper or a projector.

USING A GRID

Using a grid to help you draw can make it much easier to see shapes and angles because you have a smaller area to look at in each square. If you can count, you can use a grid. The more you practice with a grid, the bigger your grid can be. Eventually, with practice you can use one or two horizontal and vertical grid lines or even no grid at all.
