Hi, I’m Sue Kerrigan-Harris and I help people like you learn how to draw and paint with soft pastel, so you can create artwork you’re proud of.

I’m a professional artist, trained teacher, and passionate pastel enthusiast based in the UK. Through online tutorials, courses, and my pastel art membership, the Soft Pastel Skills Hub. I guide adults (especially women over 40) through step-by-step lessons that are clear, calm, and confidence-boosting.

Whether you’re returning to art after years away or starting completely from scratch, I’ll meet you where you are—with kindness, encouragement, and absolutely no judgement.

Why Soft Pastel?

Soft pastel stole my heart. It’s joyful, vibrant, forgiving, and deeply expressive. The colours are immediate. The techniques are simple (once you know how). And the results? They’ll surprise you—in the best way.

But I know that getting started can feel overwhelming. That’s why I created my tutorials and membership: to take away the guesswork and help you build real skill, one small, doable step at a time.
